Boardman River Valley Master Plan

overview

The goal of the master plan for the Boardman River Valley is to make suggestions that would aid in retaining the rural, wild, and recreational habitats that now exist in the Boardman River Valley of Grand Traverse County, Michigan.  East Bay, Paradise, and Union Townships have banded together to take a proactive approach to transportation and land use planning in cooperation with numerous regional and local organizations.

The project includes transportation, recreation, conservation, land use, and zoning recommendations.  The proposed zoning approach include conservation design techniques that respect the critical natural and cultural features while still retaining the owner’s ability to develop on appropriate lands.
