Kalamazoo River Valley Trailway was a master plan and an implementation action plan for a 30-mile multi-purpose trailway between Battle Creek and Kalamazoo. The Greenway Collaborative, Inc. was part of a consultant team lead by Bicycles &, and including O’Boyle, Cowell, Blalock & Associates, and The Forum for Kalamazoo County. The focus of our work was to inventory and to analyze the proposed corridor, and to develop the overall plan. GIS is being utilized for this project. Before our involvement with the project, The Forum for Kalamazoo County established local Trailway Teams that did extensive research in trail routing and design. We worked under the guidance of the Trailway Teams to develop a cohesive plan and to help the Trailway Teams handle difficult design and implementation issues. | |||||||||||
