MDOT's Metro Region Bicycle Map

OVERVIEW

In 2000, The Greenway Collaborative, Inc. developed a bicycle facility map prototype for the Michigan Department of Transportation.  Click here to see the prototype project page.  Since that time, numerous regional governments have created maps based on that prototype.  The Greenway Collaborative, Inc. was retained by MDOT to create the bicycle facilities map for the Metro Region.

 

The Metro Region Bicycle Map, received 1st Place in the category of Most Effective Cartography at the AASHTO 2010 GIS Transportation Symposium.
