This project is one of the "demonstration" projects of Southeast Michigan Greenways. The project area is in the fastest growing county in the state of Michigan. The goal of the project is to preserve community character and provide non-motorized linkages.
The project is being driven by a diverse steering committee with members from all five communities and from a number of different interest groups. In addition, a number of round table discussions were held with groups of developers, realtors, environmentalists, and recreation professionals.
