Southeast Michigan Greenways Scoping Report (5 MB) identifies and evaluates potential projects, selecting the three projects that are discussed in the Strategic Plans.

Southeast Michigan Greenways Strategic Plans (4 MB) is a feasibility study of the selected corridors that identifies key bits of information that will assist in the project's eventual implementation.  Specifically the purpose of this report is to:

  • Identify the project scope

  • Determine the probable project costs

  • Identify potential funding sources

  • Define proposed implementation teams

  • Outline potential partnerships

  • Outline proposed implementation steps

Economic Impact and Use Projections (24 KB) is a comparative analysis of various economic and impact use studies of rail-trail around the country to try to predict the potential impact of the Clinton River Trail and the Macomb Orchard Trail.  This study analyzed the adjacent population density for all of the trails with studies to try to determine any correlations.

Funding Budget Worksheet (31 KB) is an analysis of the major trail funding sources to determine how much money from each source may be an appropriate budget figure.  It is based on historic giving patterns and populations served.

Funding Share Budget Worksheet (31 KB) is a proposal for how the project should be funded.  The worksheet proposes an overall share of the project costs for each of funding sources as well as how that share would be best distributed throughout the various phases of a project given their funding preferences.
