| overview The Bicycling and Pedestrian Plan will reflect a consensus vision of how The City of Athens will over time transform its streets, its development patterns, its government and its community outreach to establish an environment that makes walking and bicycling an obvious, safe and attractive option.

Survey A survey was provided in the month of September to collect the priorities and concerns regarding non-motorized facilities in the City of Athens, Ohio. Over 100 people participated in this survey. Click here to view the results.
Public Workshop: Two public workshops were held to get input from the community. Everyone was welcome to attend.
Issues and Opportunities Workshop This workshop was held on September 17, 2009 at the Athens City Council Chambers. During this workshop, participants identified there hopes and concerns regarding the Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. Click here to view the workshop presentation.
Inventory and Analysis Maps were provided to the workshop participants along with a Base Map that was used by the workshop participants to record specific areas of concern.

Preliminary Plan Workshop This workshop was held on November 12, 2009 at the Athens Community Center. During this workshop participants reviewed the preliminary plans and prioritize the proposed improvements. Click here to view the workshop presentation.
